Israel Gannot is a full professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tel-Aviv University. He holds an associate research professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns position as well as faculty of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. Israel was a co-founder and CEO of Opticul Diagnostics, A biotech company developing Bacteria detection instruments for the microbiology departments in hospitals and other clinical institutes. Israel’s research interests are Theranostics-Multi modal approach for early detection of disease, treatment under feedback and monitoring the response to the treatment. Israel is active in translational research, team science and implementation science. He also very focused on ethical aspects in technology and healthcare. Israel is a fellow of SPIE and AIMBE.
