Dr. Fitzgerald grew up in Central Florida. She attended both college and medical school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She then completed her residency at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and stayed on as Chief Resident for an additional year. Afterward, she returned to Gainesville, FL where she is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Pediatrics at UFHealth. She currently serves as an outpatient pediatrician with UFHealth where she also teaches pediatric residents and medical students. She has served as the Director of Pediatric Telemedicine Education and is the lead clinician for the UFHealth School-Based Telehealth Program.
